About
About Wardmore
A Nashville lender that does one thing: finance the equipment in intensive-care units, in ways that fit how hospitals are paid.
What we do
Wardmore was founded in 2014 by Douglas Rennick, a healthcare banker, and Philip Ardrey, a former health-system chief financial officer, on a simple observation: hospitals buy intensive-care equipment all at once, with scarce capital, for a census that changes every month. We finance that equipment by lease, by subscription, by the occupied bed-hour, and on refresh schedules that keep it current.
We finance only critical-care equipment, and we know it well. Our field asset specialists install and collect it; our Continuity Operations Center watches over it 24 hours a day; our credit team reads hospitals’ cost reports rather than waiting for ratings most of them do not have.
How we are owned and funded
Wardmore Health Capital, LLC is privately held. Its shareholders are its founders, its employees through an equity plan, and funds managed by two private equity firms. New agreements are funded through a bank warehouse facility and refinanced through term securitizations, the Wardmore Healthcare Equipment Receivables Trusts, which report every month.
Where we are
Our head office and Continuity Operations Center are in Nashville. Our Canadian subsidiary works from Toronto. Relationship managers and field asset specialists live in the regions they serve, from the Mississippi Delta to the Mountain West.
What we believe
- The hospital chooses the equipment. We finance it.
- A small hospital deserves the same terms as a large one when its risk is the same.
- Every number on a statement should be one the hospital can check.
- We say what we will do in writing, and then do it.
