Licenses
Wardmore makes commercial loans and leases to organizations, not to consumers. Where a state requires a license for commercial lending, we hold it. Loans in California are made or arranged under a California Finance Lenders Law license. We do not hold a bank charter and do not accept deposits.
Commercial financing disclosures
Several states require providers of commercial financing to give certain disclosures, such as the total cost of financing and an estimated annual percentage rate, before an agreement is signed. Where those laws apply to a transaction, we give the disclosures with the proposal. We give the total cost of every structure we propose in any case.
Relationships with manufacturers
We have vendor-program agreements with several equipment manufacturers and distributors, under which they may introduce hospitals to us. We pay no referral fees to individuals. Where a manufacturer subsidizes a rate, the proposal says so.
Securitization
Some agreements we originate are sold to the Wardmore Healthcare Equipment Receivables Trusts. Wardmore remains servicer, and hospitals continue to deal with Wardmore. The trusts’ notes are not obligations of the hospitals.
