On August 15 we said that monitoring equipment in use at the bedside will not be placed in service hold. That commitment is now written into our Continuity Assurance procedures and into the terms of every Continuity Assurance agreement, including agreements signed before August 15. Hospitals have been sent the amended terms.
We have also changed how a service hold is notified. Hospitals are told in writing, and in advance, before any equipment enters service hold, and our Continuity Operations Center calls the hospital’s nominated contacts before a hold begins.
On September 2 we answered in full the questions we received from the office of a state attorney general. We continue to work with the hospital concerned.
