Wardmore Health Capital launches in Nashville to finance critical-care equipment

— Wardmore Health Capital, a new Nashville company, will finance intensive-care beds, ventilators and patient monitoring for community and regional hospitals. It has arranged a $65 million credit facility with a group of regional banks.

The company was founded by Douglas Rennick, who spent fourteen years financing hospital equipment at two national banks, and Philip Ardrey, former chief financial officer of a regional health system in Middle Tennessee.

“Community hospitals buy critical-care equipment the way households buy roofs: rarely, reluctantly and all at once,” said Mr. Ardrey. “We want them to be able to pay for it the way they use it.”
