Douglas Rennick co-founded Wardmore in 2014 and has been its Chief Executive Officer since. He spent the previous fourteen years financing hospital equipment at two national banks, latterly running a healthcare equipment finance team that lent to more than 300 hospitals in the Southeast.

He started Wardmore on the view that intensive-care equipment is bought the wrong way: all at once, with capital, for a census that changes every month. Utilization Pricing, introduced in 2016, was his idea and, for its first year, his spreadsheet.

He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and holds an MBA from Vanderbilt. He serves on the board of a Nashville free clinic and coaches youth soccer badly.
